Researchers at RMIT University have developed a new instant-in-air liquid metal printing method that uses liquid bismuth to create air-stable, atomically thin, mechanically flexible nanogenerators and ferroelectric oxides with unique multifunctional properties, including piezoelectricity and polarizability.
This breakthrough paves the way for the integration of multifunctional stable oxides into diverse devices, potentially revolutionizing portable electronic devices, energy harvesting, sensors, flexible electronics, wearable technology, nanotechnology, IoT, medical devices, and research and development applications.
