ANDI – Automated Radiological Image Processing Software

ANDI is an advanced quantitative imaging software designed to enhance the evaluation of medical images, particularly in neuroimaging. Its core function revolves around processing diffusion-weighted images to map the microstructural properties of white matter in the brain. ANDI employs a combination of local (per-voxel basis) and global (whole brain) reconstruction algorithms, including modeling, tractography, and white matter bundling.

ANDI is designed for medical professionals, particularly neurologists, and radiologists, to display medical images and assist in healthcare data analysis. It supports functions such as image review, basic measurements, planning, and visualization, including 3D mapping of white matter tracts from diffusion-weighted MRI sequences. Importantly, ANDI is intended as an adjunctive tool.

ANDI was developed by Imeka Solutions, Inc. and it received FDA premarket authorization on July 25th, 2023. If you’re interested in learning more, you can refer to the official documentation provided by the FDA.
