Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a Chinese medicine that is in practice for thousands of years. Acupuncture practice involves the insertion of thin needles in person’s body at specific points on the body to various depths. Acupuncture is based on the concept of balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as qi or chi (CHEE) — that is believed to flow through meridian pathways in the body. By inserting needles into these specific points along these meridian pathways, practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance. This technique treats a wide range of conditions, including pain relief, stress management, chronic conditions, and overall wellness. While the scientific understanding of acupuncture is still evolving, it is increasingly accepted in Western medicine as a complementary treatment, with numerous studies supporting its efficacy for various health issues.
