Trulicity
Trulicity is a brand name for the drug dulaglutide, produced and distributed by Eli Lilly. It is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Trulicity belongs to the GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists, which emulate the body’s natural GLP-1 hormone to manage blood sugar levels. Trulicity enhances insulin secretion in response to elevated blood glucose, reduces the liver’s glucose output, and slows gastric emptying. Trulicity is administered via subcutaneous injections, typically once a week, and is known for its convenience and effectiveness.
